I confess that I rarely asked my guardian angel for help until I realized what an incredible gift he is. It was the words of St. Bernard of Clairvaux that moved me. Isn’t it extraordinary to have someone close by who watches over us with such care? Of course, our first instinct is to pray to our children’s guardian angel, asking him to watch over their every step. But this applies to all those dear to us, and to us as well! We, too, were once children, and an angel has always walked beside us. Let us therefore learn to sense his presence in our lives and to trust in this incomparable friend sent by God.
