This is Holy Thursday, this blessed day of the institution of the Eucharist. This extraordinary gift, this unparalleled food. I represented it in a very abstract way, not with all the disciples seated at the table during the Last Supper, but rather as a close-up on the unique moment when Jesus raises his hands and presents for the very first time the bread of life. Behind him a gold leaf stripes the space, the bread will never be the same again. The Eucharist is a sun whose light extends endlessly, its radiance warms us at Mass and well beyond. In each consecration, on each Holy Thursday, my breath catches at the moment of the words of blessing, it is this moment that I wanted to capture.
Medal in resin, oak wood and gold leaf. The bail and the ring are made of 925 silver plated with yellow gold. This locket is sold without a chain and measures 2.5 cm high and 1.8 cm wide.
