FAQ - Answers to your questions!

Who am I?
My name is Fleur Nabert, I am 43 years old, I am the mother of three little girls. I am a sculptor, I have been creating works, in bronze, in glass, large or very large format since I was… 16 years old. With the pandemic, I have opened my creation not only to large places, churches and basilicas, but to individual people. Through a jewel full of meaning or glass icons to illuminate a prayer corner.

Am I the one who makes the jewelry and the icons?
Yes, absolutely! Since the orders have grown a lot, I have surrounded myself with a team of jewelry makers to whom I explain my models and who ensure their reproduction. There are no machines, there are no industrial processes, everything is done by hand in my workshop in Neuilly-sur-Seine for the jewelry. For the icons, I make them all myself in the workshop of my master glassmaker Bruno Loire in Chartres.

Are these creations fragile?
For resin jewelry, no, not at all. I am a mother of three young children and I wanted jewelry that would be resistant to life! They look like glass but are not fragile like it. Besides, you couldn't include anything in glass, everything would burn. Polymer clay requires slightly more care but remains very resistant.

What are the maintenance instructions?
These are high fashion jewelry and not solid gold, the way you live with them is a guarantee of the duration of their shine.

- for rings, it is better to remove them before putting hydro-alcoholic solution which is very aggressive or even washing your hands. Jewelry glue for stones does not like water!

- for jewelry and chains , avoid direct contact with perfume which, depending on the formula, can damage the surface.
- we remove them for the shower (obviously also for the swimming pool and sea bathing).

- When you don't wear them it is good to leave them in the shade of a box , I also specify it in the care label that you receive. I use the best resins that exist but they can be sensitive to certain PH of skin or to prolonged exposure to UV like any object (think of objects that stay near a window and change color!) The more you take care of your costume jewelry by protecting it from light when you are not wearing it, the more beautiful it will remain. Over time and depending on the use that is made of it, it can take on a honey patina.

As for the icons, I send them in boxes reinforced with foam, they must be handled with the normal precaution required for a glass object and you must not put your fingers on the gold leaf.

What is gold filled?
This is a brass plating that comes from the United States and is thicker than our European plating. To make you understand it in a simple image:

Are the creations in limited series?
Yes, because they are made by hand. We can even say that each creation is unique because the hand never performs exactly the same gesture twice, nor does nature create two identical flowers.

Are big earrings heavy?
No, not at all! I really like earrings but I have painful memories of Venetian glass earrings that hurt my earlobe. Resin has this genius of really weighing the weight of a feather. In the same way, when I mount clip-on earrings and I found some that can be adjusted with a small screw to the exact size of the lobe and which therefore will not torture your ears!

How thick is a resin medal?
A number of models have a thickness of 5 mm, this allows to have depth and to create movement inside or colored backgrounds and crystalline surfaces. Others, surrounded by a golden circle are thin like a usual medal or 1.5 mm.

How long does it take to receive your order?
When I order something I like to receive it quickly. So I try to do the same! For jewelry I process your orders between 24h and 48h. Then the post office takes between 1 and 3 days by tracked mail. DHL delivers the day after sending depending on the delivery method you choose. For icons I start the gilding the day I receive the order and I send it about 5 days after the time it dries. In all cases you are notified by email when your order leaves my workshop and a tracking number allows you to locate it.

Can I purchase a creation and have it sent to someone as a gift?
Yes, absolutely. You have the possibility to buy a creation, and indicate a delivery address different from the billing address. On the other hand, if you need to send two different people two jewels or two icons, you will have to make two different orders. Because the site can only manage one delivery address at a time.

Can I have gift wrapping?
I try to take real care with each shipment I make. The jewelry is sent in an organza bag with a plant element and the icons are carefully packed in a reinforced box. On the "Cases and chains" collection page, you can choose different options: the possibility of adding a natural or white leather case, a chain if the person does not have one, or even a small bag if it is to make a gift outside and it must be taken somewhere. The same goes for the icons, as I have seen you offer as a gift to newlyweds, or for a baptism or communion, there is also the possibility of taking a bag to take the icon, its base and its certificate to the place of the celebration.

I have a discount code or should I enter it?
When you place your cart, there is a small box where you can enter a code. On the next page, the discount will appear at the top (on mobile) in the "order summary" and the code will vary the amount of the cart.

Does the jewelry come with an explanation?
Yes, always. Each jewel is accompanied by a label with the meaning of the jewel.

Are the jewels visible in stores?
Yes and more and more! The list is here.

Can we visit the Neuilly workshop and come see the creations?
The workshop is not a shop but it can be visited by appointment by sending me an email or a message via the contact form.

If there is a question missing from this list, please ask me and I will add it!
