I love the Sacred Heart. Not so much the 19th-century image as the heart of fire on the chest of Saint Charles de Foucauld. Lost in his desert, loving God and his brothers. This love that radiates and is the heart of faith.
This model is the glass and gold version of the sacred red heart. It's a hand-sculpted piece thermoformed in glass at over 800 degrees. Before firing, I added powdered colored glass, which mixed with the neutral glass during firing.
It is embellished with 24-carat gold leaf.
It is sent in a special box, protected and delivered with a plexiglass stand to enable it to stand upright, as well as a certificate of authenticity for the work.
Its small size allows it to be placed on a desk. Dimensions 4 x 8 x 3/16 in.
