I love the image of the Virgin crowned with twelve stars. I have already made it as an icon, but I also wanted to make it into jewelry. It turned to be quite a feat, working with very fine crystals AND allowing the back of the medal to always be visible. It is a long and complex piece of jewelry to make (which explains its slightly higher price tag). But its light and Marian majesty fill me with joy.
The medal comes in three sizes, as you can see in the photo. Here is the mini 5/8 in. version (on the right in the first picture and the smallest when I'm wearing all three), discreet, perfect to wear as a necklaceas shown here on the Joan chain or as a bracelet. There is also the medium 7/8 in. version which is still quite discreet, here worn on the Elisabeth chain and the large, radiant 1 in. version, worn here on the Saint Therese chain.
