I am fortunate to have extraordinary men in my life: my late father, my husband, my long-time friends. I have great love and respect for these masculine figures whose gifts are combined - through filiation, love or friendship - with feminine gifts. I see men as builders, and, like Saint Joseph, as carpenters. They build the structure of our families. Just as the framework of Notre-Dame de Paris remained standing in the furnace, they remain courageous, valiant, protective. So, this Romanesque cross shape, one of the oldest in cathedrals, naturally made me think of them.
