The more I progress in my work as a jewelry designer, the more I believe that faith can be combined with fashion codes, without losing any of its soul, but rather by giving fashion a soul! I really like the tortoiseshell material, it brightens up fall and can be worn all year round, adding warmth to the face.

Instead of being "just" a pretty piece of tortoiseshell jewelry, it's a presence in our lives. We don't just dress in a certain shade, we wear the sweetness of the Virgin Mary, through the miraculous medal, all day long. She inspires us and - who knows - she might also manifest herself through our jewelry, to those we meet.

Handmade jewel, imitation tortoiseshell sequin

 

1 3/16 in. diameter (no tortoise were harmed during this process! ), rue du Bac miraculous medal. 3-micron gold-plated strap and hoop, stainless steel stud earrings (the model is not adaptable to clips). The earring has a total height of 2 in. and is extremely light to wear throughout the day. In my opinion, it's imperative to maintain this comfort and never have an anvil on your ear ;-) As the photos show, the sequins are all slightly different, retaining the charm of genuine tortoiseshell.
