The more I progress in my work as a jewelry designer, the more I believe that faith can be combined with fashion trends. Not by losing any of its essence, but rather by infusing fashion with a sense of purpose! I really love tortoiseshell; it brightens up the fall and can be worn year-round, adding warmth to the face.

Instead of being "just" a beautiful tortoiseshell jewel, it is a presence in our lives. We don't just wear a color; we wear the gentleness of the Virgin Mary, through the Miraculous Medal, throughout the day. It inspires us and—who knows—mayalso be reflected in our jewelry, for those we meet.

Handmade jewelry, imitation tortoiseshell sequins

 

3 cm in diameter (no turtles were harmed!), Miraculous Medal from Rue du Bac. Hook and ring in 3-micron gold plating, ornate stainless steel stud earrings (this model is not available as a clip-on). The earring has a total height of 5 cm and is extremely lightweight to wear all day long; in my opinion, it’s essential to maintain this comfort and never have a heavy weight on your ear ;-) As the photos show, the sequins are all slightly different, thus preserving the charm of real tortoiseshell.
