In my work as a sculptor, I have used gold leaf extensively. It holds a unique power for me: when the light fades, its glow remains and becomes even more moving, like a reflection of grace. I named this creation Croix de Gloire for that reason: it evokes the presence of God, that light that radiates despite the darkness, and forever.
