A few years ago, I created a large bronze sculpture, in Yvetot’s church, called the "Empty Tomb". Peter and John rush to the tomb. Saint John’s hand touches the emptiness left by the stone that was rolled away. In my sculpture, this gap is nothing but light. He touches absence and infinity at the same time. He sees. And he believes. A sudden, breathtaking revelation.

This same idea is what this piece of jewelry embodies: a cross surrounded by gleaming gold and copper, with a silver, empty cross at its center. Empty? No. Infinitely full of the Hope that the Resurrection gives to the world. Infinitely full of a love that will never end. That is the entire mystery of God summed up: invisible and absolutely present.
