"A great sign appeared in heaven: a Woman with the sun as her mantle, the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. "(Rev 12:1)
I love the image of the Virgin crowned with twelve stars. I've already made it as an icon. But I also wanted to make it as a piece of jewelry. It turned out to be quite a feat: working with very fine crystals AND allowing the back of the medal to be visible at all times. It is a long and complex piece of jewelry to make (which explains its slightly higher price tag), but I'm delighted by its light and its Marian majesty. The star family is growing with this new deep green color.
The medal comes in three sizes, as you can see in the photo.
Here it's the mini 5/8 in. version (on the right in the first picture and the smallest when I'm wearing all three - in blue on the picture but the size is the same in green), discreet to wear as a necklace here on the Jeanne chain or as a bracelet.
It also comes in the classic 7/8 in. medal size, which is still quite discreet, and the large 1 in. size, which is radiant.
The mini version is ideal for creating a fabric or metal bracelet to suit your taste (see picture for a few examples of combinations). It's up to you ;-)
Gold filled ring, rue du Bac gold medal, deep green mica and twelve rhinestones.
