In this version of the Mother of God icon, I use removals in the gold leaf for a more modern aesthetic that allows the blue of the stained glass to show through. This is a hand-sculpted piece thermoformed in glass at over 800 degrees, to which I add powdered blue glass that fuses with the glass during firing. It is enhanced with 24-carat gold leaf.

It is sent in a special box, protected and delivered with a plexiglass base that allows it to stand upright, as well as with a certificate of authenticity for the work (the right base is the one in the first photo, the metal base visible on the others is an older version to which I preferred transparency).

Size 8 x 11 13/16 x 3/16 in. Signed with the Fleur Nabert diamond.
