Q&A - Answers to your questions!

Who am I?
My name is Fleur , and I am the mother of three little girls. I am a sculptor and have been creating large and very large works in bronze and glass since I was 16 years old. I have expanded my creative work beyond large venues, churches, and basilicas to include individuals, through meaningful jewelry and glass icons to illuminate prayer corners.

Do I make the jewelry and icons myself?
Yes, absolutely ! Since my orders have grown so much, I've surrounded myself with a team of jewelry makers to whom I explain my designs and who ensure their reproduction. There are no machines, no industrial processes, everything is done by hand in my workshop in Neuilly-sur-Seine. As for the icons, I make them all myself in the workshop of my master glassmaker Bruno Loire in Chartres.

Can we change our minds?
But of course, just like in real life! You have 14 days to request an exchange or return. During the Christmas period, this option is extended until January 15 so you can choose your gifts with peace of mind and change your selection if necessary.

Does the gilding hold well?
Yes, yes, and yes! I hate it when my jewelry tarnishes. I take great care to ensure this doesn't happen by having my jewelry gold-plated to 3 microns (the maximum for costume jewelry) in France, using stainless steel or gold-filled materials. However, it's important to remember that only solid gold is gold-plated throughout the entire thickness of the metal... but at a cost that is 10 to 20 times higher.

What is gold filled?
It's a brass plating that comes from the USA and is thicker than our European plating. To put it in a nutshell:

Are these creations fragile?
The resin jewelery isn't. As a mother of three young children, I wanted jewelry that would stand up to the test of time! They look like glass, but they're not as fragile as glass. In fact, inside glass you couldn't include anything that would burn. Polymer clay requires a little more care, but is still very strong.

What are the care instructions?
This is high-quality costume jewelry, not solid gold, so how you care for it will determine how long it retains its shine.

- For rings, it is best to remove them before applying hydroalcoholic solution, which is very aggressive, or even before washing your hands. Jewelry glue for stones does not like water!

- For jewelry and chains , avoid direct contact with perfume, which, depending on the formula, can damage the surface.

- Ideally, remove them before showering, and always before swimming in a pool or the sea. Some customers keep them on all the time. Personally, I prefer to live with my jewelry... I just know that, like everything else on earth, it will wear out over time.

- When you're not wearing it, it's best to keep it in a box out of direct sunlight. I also mention this in the care instructions you receive. I use the best resins available, but they can be sensitive to certain skin pH levels or prolonged exposure to UV rays, like any object (think of objects that stay near a window and change color!). The more you take care of your costume jewelry by protecting it from light when you are not wearing it, the longer it will stay beautiful. Over time and depending on how it is used, it may develop a honey-colored patina.

As for the icons, I send them in boxes reinforced with foam. They should be handled with the normal care required for glass objects, and you should not touch the gold leaf with your fingers.

Are the creations limited editions?
Yes, for the simple reason that they are handmade. You could even say that each creation is unique, because the hand never makes exactly the same gesture twice, just like nature never creates two identical flowers.

Are large earrings heavy?
Not at all! I love earrings , but I have vivid memories of glass Venetian earrings that hurt my lobe. Resin has this giant advantage of really weighing the weight of a feather. In the same way, when I fit clip-on earrings, I've found some that can be adjusted with a small screw to the exact size of the lobe, so they won't hammer your ears!

How thick is a resin medal?
A number of models are 3/16 in. thick, to allow depth and movement inside, or colored backgrounds and crystalline surfaces. Others, surrounded by a golden circle, are as thin as a regular medal, i.e. 1/16 in..

How long does it take to receive your order?
When I order something, I like to receive it quickly. So I try to do the same! For jewelry, I process your orders within 24 to 48 hours. Then the post office takes between 1 and 3 days for tracked mail. We offer parcel relay/Chronopost Express/FedEx options for international orders. For icons, I begin the gilding process on the day I receive the order and ship it approximately 6 business days later, once it has had time to dry. In all cases, you will be notified by email when your order leaves my workshop, and a tracking number will allow you to locate it.

Can I buy a creation and have it sent to someone as a gift ?
Yes, absolutely. You can buy a creation and specify a delivery address different from the billing address. However, if you need to send two pieces of jewelry or two icons to two different people, you'll need to place two separate orders. The site can only handle one delivery address at a time.

Can I get wrapping paper ?
I try to take real care with every shipment I make. The jewels leave in an organza bag with a plant element, and the icons are carefully packed in a reinforced box. On the " giftboxes and chains" collection page, you can choose different options: the possibility of adding a natural or white leather giftbox, a chain if the person doesn't have one, or even a small bag if it's for an outdoor present or if it needs to be taken somewhere. The same goes for icons, as I've seen you offer them as gifts to brides and grooms, or for a baptism or communion, there's also the possibility of using a bag to take the icon, its base and its certificate to the place of celebration.

I have a discount code, where do I enter it?
In your cart, when you place your order
, there's a little box where you can enter the code. On the next page, the discount will appear at the top (on a mobile) in the "order summary" and the code will change the amount of the cart.

Does the jewelry come with an explanation?
Yes, always. Each piece is accompanied by a label explaining the meaning of the jewel.

Is the jewelry available in stores?
Yes, and increasingly so! The list can be found here.
Can we visit the Neuilly workshop and see the creations
The workshop is not a store, but it can be visited by appointment. Please send me an email or a message via the contact form.

If there's a question missing from this list, feel free to ask me and I'll add it!
