The tomb is empty, fear and stupor grip hearts.
But the garden is serene; it continues to smell sweet, and the birds sing their trills in the cool sky. Mary Magdalene, in tears, asks the one she believes to be a gardener where the one who gave her life back is.
“Mary.” “Rabboni.”
Two words, and immense clarity. That of the Resurrected, luminous with glory. That of Mary Magdalene’s soul, which understands that the Love before her has triumphed forever. The heavy stone of the tomb and death is no more... it has transformed into this medal, a golden halo surrounding the luminous silhouette of the one who kept his promise: "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."
