These words encapsulate the meaning of dedication, time given, and the desire to nurture growth without expectation of reward. Scouting is a school where nature, faith, and generosity intertwine in a magnificent display of pioneering skills.
I created this medal for two reasons: the sense of belonging and the desire to say thank you. Belonging is knowing that we owe it to an institution, a group, for making us who we are.
And saying thank you is making a gesture, always less than what was received, but which gives form to gratitude. In both cases, it means that our hearts and souls are forever marked and will not forget.
