I wanted to evoke Mary's tenderness.

But offered to Love itself.

These two hearts must have shared.

In this version of the icon of the Mother of God, I use removals in the gold leaf for a more modern aesthetic that lets the blue of the stained glass show through. This is a hand-sculpted piece thermoformed in glass at over 800 degrees, to which I add powdered blue glass that fuses with the glass during firing. It is enhanced with 24-carat gold leaf.

It is sent in a special box, protected and delivered with a plexiglass base that allows it to stand upright, as well as a certificate of authenticity for the work (the correct base is the one in the first photo, the metal base visible on the others is an older version to which I prefer transparency).

Size 20 x 30 x 0.5 cm. Signed with the Fleur Nabert diamond.
