An inspiration drawn from the Grand Siècle
A NOTE FROM THE DESIGNER
I named this cross Versailles because this vivid blue streaked with gold reminds me of the Grand Siècle, its elegance, and Bossuet who wrote, “What is chance in relation to humans is purpose in relation to God.” I deeply believe in Providence. May this cross help us be vigilant for its unexpected gifts.

Of great delicate craftsmanship, this cross combines a bed of shimmering blue mica with a transparent surface in which flecks of 24-carat gold leaf dance and play with the light. This creation is sent in a floral organza pouch. It comes with a scented card featuring a spiritual quote that can be kept as a bookmark.
Cross 27 x 35 mm. Resin, lapis lazuli blue mica, 24-carat gold leaf. Bail and ring in 925 silver plated with 3-micron gold. Hard-wearing gold plating.
Avoid contact with water, perfumes, cosmetics, and detergent products. Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, or any sports activity. Store it away from prolonged exposure to sunlight, which can damage the resin. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth, then store it in a case, away from light.

From sculpture to jewelry
For over twenty years, I have worked with clay, wax, bronze, wood, glass, and gold on a very large scale. I have miniaturized all of this expertise into jewelry, with the same sense of spatial arrangement. A sculpture needs empty space around it to sing; a piece of jewelry is a dialogue between an outer form and the treasure it contains.
