This is the chant of the Veni Sancte Spiritus that inspires this icon: « Come, Holy Spirit, send forth from heaven above a ray of Your light. Come, Father of the poor, come, giver of gifts, come, light of our hearts. Sovereign Comforter, most gentle guest of our souls, sweet refreshment. In toil, rest; in fever, coolness; in tears, comfort. O blessed light, come fill the very depths of the hearts of all Your faithful ones. »

For 25 years, Fleur Nabert has been creating complete interior designs for churches, including liturgical furniture, sculptures, and stained glass. During a large stained glass project, she had the idea of bringing the magic of glass into homes, to adorn a prayer corner, an office, and give them the strength of a true work of art. This icon is made of thermoformed glass: the artist sculpts the design in a plaster bed, then a piece of glass is placed on top and fired at 800 degrees for 24 hours. It is made at the Loire workshops in Chartres. It is then enhanced with 24-carat gold leaf. Each piece is signed by diamond-tip engraving and delivered in a protective case with a Plexiglas stand and an explanatory card. The gilding is done on demand and takes 6 working days to complete.

From sculpture to jewelry
UNIQUE EXPERTISE
For over twenty years, I have worked with clay, wax, bronze, wood, glass, and gold on a very large scale. I have miniaturized all of this expertise into jewelry, with the same sense of spatial arrangement. A sculpture needs empty space around it to sing; a piece of jewelry is a dialogue between an outer form and the treasure it contains.
Giving a gift is a gesture of love. We take great care with your orders and also offer you a lovely selection of boxes, gift wrap, or bags to highlight your thoughtful gesture.
